Three people injured and one killed after multi-vehicle accident on 405

According to an article from the Orange County Register, there was a multi-vehicle accident that left one woman deceased and three others hospitalized on the 405 Freeway in Costa Mesa.

The accident occurred late Saturday just before 12:00 a.m. near Bristol Street on the southbound lanes of the 405 Freeway.

California Highway Patrol responded to a crash involving three vehicles that collided, and located a trapped passenger inside one of the vehicles.

After Costa Mesa Fire & Rescue and Orange County Sheriff-Coroner responded, a woman was declared dead by paramedics, despite immediate treatment.

Additionally, three other victims were transported to local hospitals.  Although their conditions were not readily available in the article, it was noted that they had non-life threatening injuries.

One other passenger was reported to have refused medical assistance, sources said.

No names were mentioned in the article, pending the notification of next-of-kin.
