Two women are struck in crosswalk in Visalia

Christine Wilson is injured and another 78-year-old woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian car accident on Walnut Avenue and Parkwood Street in Visalia, according to a recent article from ABC 30 News.

The accident occurred near Walnut Avenue and Parkwood Street when a Toyota truck came across the two pedestrians in the crosswalk.

The truck hit the 78-year-old woman and another woman, according to the report.  The name of the 78-year-old was not released, although the other pedestrian was identified as 51-year-old Christine Wilson.

Authorities located the women in the roadway and rushed them to a hospital for treatment of their wounds, although the 78-year-old woman did not survive.  Furthermore, it was stated that Wilson was expected to survive her injuries.

Moreover, authorities say that the driver was identified as 31-year-old Robert Castillo.

Currently, the traffic collision is being investigated by the authorities, and further information will be relayed at a later time.
