Woman hospitalized after traffic collision on the 101 Freeway at the Tamalpais Dr off-ramp in Corte Madera

According to a police report by California Highway Patrol, on Tuesday, March 13th 2018, at 3:37 p.m. a woman was injured as a result of a traffic accident that took place on the 101 Highway at the Tamalpais Drive off-ramp in the city of Corte Madera.

Additionally, officials reported that a silver Mercedes-Benz and a red pick-up truck were traveling northbound on CA-101 prior to the collision.  The vehicles involved in the accident were blocking the No. 4 and 5 lanes of the highway, as mentioned by CHP.

Furthermore, a woman was transported to a near by hospital by paramedics, however severity of the injuries sustained by the woman are unknown.  Authorities have not yet released the name or age of the victim at this time.

Currently, this incident is undergoing review by officials as they work to determine the exact cause and liable party of the accident.  Further details will be available at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
