Car crash on Balboa and Mount Abernathy in San Diego injures one woman

According to a local news article, on Thursday morning, April 19th, 2018, around 8:23 am, one woman was injured after a car collision on Balboa and Mount Abernathy in San Diego.

In addition, a Nissan Altima was turning onto Mount Abernathy Avenue when it struck a woman crossing the sidewalk, report mentioned.

Moreover, the pedestrian, a 92-year-old woman, was injured and transported to a trauma center with life threatening injuries, mentioned the officials.

Furthermore, the driver of the vehicle involved in the collision was identified as a 77-year-old woman, stated the article.

It is unknown at this time if alcohol and or drugs were a factor in this incident.

Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by authorities.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
