At least one injured in a car crash on westbound 580 Freeway and Coolidge Avenue off-ramp in Oakland
According to the police report, at least one person was injured on Thursday, April 12th, 2018, after a car collision on westbound Interstate 580 and Coolidge Avenue off-ramp in Oakland.
As mentioned in the report, authorities arrived on the scene to find five vehicles on the right hand shoulder of westbound 580 freeway. The collision may have involved a pedestrian, commented the authorities.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by authorities.
In addition, it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by medical personnel. Authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.
