Authorities have arrested hit-and-run driver responsible for death of Vanney Santos

According to an article from ABC30, a hit-and-run driver was arrested in relation to a prior accident in Fresno in which a mother and wife was killed.

As mentioned prior, the accident took place near Millerton Lake when Vanney “Sandy” Santos, the mother of two, was walking alone on Saturday evening.

Sources said that the victim was suddenly struck by a hit-and-run driver that fled the scene immediately afterwards, leaving the injured victim laying on the side of the road.

Authorities received an anonymous tip and were able to identify the hit-and-run driver as Marie Cuevas Razo, who was arrested by California Highway Patrol.

Razo, the 60-year-old driver of the 2014 gray Dodge Charger involved in the collision, has been released from Fresno County Jail on a bond, and is facing vehicular manslaughter charges.
