Infant Vanessa Torres dies in car accident on the corner of Avenue 256 and Oakmore Way in Tulare
According to a local news source on Monday, April 2nd 2018, at about 6:30 p.m. infant identified as Vanessa Torres was killed and 44-year-old Claudia De Torres was injured as a result of a traffic collision that took place on the intersection of Avenue 256 and Oakmore Way in the city of Tulare.
Furthermore, authorities stated that a Chevy Avalanche driven by 25-year-old Amanda Goldsberry failed to make a stop at Avenue 256, which caused a gold Honda Odyssey driven by De Torres to swerve to avaid the Chevy but instead stuck a Nissan Maxima driven by 30-year-old Patricia Mendoza. The article mentioned that the infant was poorly secured onto a car seat, which sent the infant flying through the Honda’s windshield.
Additionally, Vanessa Torres was declared dead at the scene and De Torres was transported to a hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.
