At least one injured after car crash on US-101 near Great America Parkway On-Ramp in Santa Clara

According to a local news article, on Thursday morning, April 19th, 2018, around 11:15 am, a car crash occurred on Highway 101 near Great America Parkway On-Ramp in Santa Clara injuring at least one person.

Furthermore, the California Highway Patrol and paramedics arrived on the scene to find at least one person injured, mentioned the report. In addition, two vehicles were involved in the collision, stated the authorities.

It is unknown at this time if alcohol and or drugs were a factor in this incident.

Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by authorities.

In addition, it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by medical personnel. Authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
