Vehicle collision on Washington Street and Avenue 41 in Palm Desert injures two people

According to a local news report, on Friday afternoon, April 20th, 2018, at approximately 2:55 pm, a car collision occurred on Washington Street and Avenue 41 in Palm Desert injuring two people.

Furthermore, the vehicles involved in the collision were identified as a commercial truck and an SUV, the report mentioned.

As mentioned, the local firefighters responded to the scene and found two people trapped in the wreckage.

The two victims in the wreckage were transported to a local hospital through ground transportation with minor to moderate injuries after they were extricated, mentioned the officials.

It is unknown at this time if alcohol and or drugs were a factor in this incident.

Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by authorities.

Authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.
