Suspected DUI driver rear-ended a cement truck
According to a news report from onscenevideo.tv, on Saturday, April 28th 2018, at about 1:55 a.m., two people were injured ensuing a traffic collision involving a cement truck and a vehicle on State Route 241 near Lake Forest Drive in the city of Lake Forest.
In addition, the report stated that a red Lexus sedan and a big rig hauling 25,000 pounds of cement were the vehicles involved in the traffic collision. Moreover, the Lexus was traveling at speeds in excess of 100 MPH that crashed into the rear of a cement truck, according to authorities. Additionally, authorities stated that the driver of the Lexus is suspected to be driving under the influence.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by officials.
Furthermore, both drivers were transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics and authorities have not yet released any information on the injured parties at this time.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
