2 pedestrians struck by vehicle injured on the corner of Highway 76 and Benet Rd in Oceanside

As mentioned in a local news article by NBC San Diego, on Friday, March 30th 2018, at about 10:15 p.m. two pedestrians were injured after being struck by a vehicle on the intersection of State Route 76 and Benet Road in the city of Oceanside.

Furthermore, authorities did not give a description of the vehicle that struck the pedestrians, but the driver of the vehicle did cooperate with authorities.

In addition, one pedestrian was airlifted to a hospital due to major head trauma, however the other pedestrian’s condition is unknown at this time.  Authorities have not yet released any additional information on the injured party.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
