Local rappers “G-sta and C-LOC” killed in DUI-related car crash

Two young men identified as Michael Perez and Charles Nunez Jr. died early Thursday in Modesto when a crew cab pickup crashed along Sylvan Avenue and collided into a tree, according to a local news article.

As reported in the news, officials stated that the accident occurred Thursday early morning when they got inside a crew cab Dodge pickup truck driven by 28-year-old Alfonzo Rodriguez-Quintana.  The 28-year-old driver subsequently crashed his vehicle into a tree near Sylvan Avenue.

Officials stated the two occupants Perez and Nunez were trapped inside the burning truck and died as a result.

Modesto authorities located the driver on the ground near his car wreck, and booked Rodriguez-Quintana on suspicion of “two counts of homicide, DUI causing injury and gross bodily injury in the commission of a felony.”

It was unclear why the victims got inside the vehicle with the inebriated driver, according to the news article.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
