Two men in their 60s were trapped in wreckage of truck rollover accident on Highway 154

According to Noozhawk.com, there was a car accident in the area of Windy Gap above Santa Barbara last Sunday afternoon in which a car dropped about 300 feet off the roadway, leaving two men injured as a result.  

As mentioned in the article, the two men crashed at about 2:00 p.m. on Highway 154.

Their pickup truck rolled over the side and as a result, the two men, identified as being in their 60’s, were trapped inside the vehicle wreckage as a result.

Furthermore, as rescue crews worked to free the victims from their wreckage, one victim was found to have sustained moderate injuries and transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital via an AMR (American Medical Response) ambulance.

The second victim required much more time to be freed from his vehicle.  He reportedly suffered major injuries and had to be airlifted to the same hospital.

Currently, the identities of the victims have not been released.

This crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, and further details will be reported later.
