Double fatality car crash on Santiago Canyon Road

Two victims were killed in a deadly, fiery car wreck on the Santiago Canyon Road on-ramp to the 241 Freeway in Orange on Sunday night, according to a news report from OnscenevideoTV.

The accident occurred at about 9:20 p.m. on February 25th, reported the article.  A single vehicle suddenly crashed into a utility pole in the area and downed several power lines before catching on fire.  The Orange County coroner’s office also responded to the scene shortly after, as two people were reportedly killed in the fiery crash.

California Highway Patrol shut down the roadway and toll road in the area, according to the report.  The identities of the deceased victims were not named publicly, pending the notification of family first.

It was unclear from the news how the accident occurred.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
