Two injured and Ramon Prado arrested in a DUI car crash on I-15 near Lake Street
According to The Press-Enterprise, two drivers were injured Wednesday morning on the I-15 in a car crash following the arrest of one driver on suspicion of DUI.
As mentioned in the article, officers responded to a report around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday about a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro that was driving northbound in the southbound lane on the I-15, north of Nichols Road.
As a result, the Camaro hit a International semi-truck near Lake Street driven by a 42-year-old Lake Elsinore man.
The Lake Elsinore truck driver saw the Camaro driver coming to his direction in the southbound number three lane and changed his lane to number 2 and began flashing the car to warn the driver of the danger, said the authorities.
Despite the warning, the Camaro struck the semi-truck with the front end resulting in serious injury for the Camaro driver and minor injury for the truck driver.
Article reports the Camaro driver’s injury was mainly to his forearm.
The authorities have identified the driver of the Camaro as Ramon Prado and later arrested him at Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
This accident is currently being investigated and further details will be updated as they are available.
