Two-car collision landed on bushes 30 feet off of the freeway

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Wednesday, May 2nd 2018, at about 6:52 p.m., at least one person was injured ensuing a traffic collision involving two vehicles on the southbound of U.S. Highway 101 and Lucas Valley Road off-ramp in the city of San Rafael.

In addition, the report stated that a white Ford Escape and a black Lexus sedan were the vehicles involved in the traffic collision. Moreover, both vehicles veered off the freeway at approximately 30 feet away and landed in the nearby bushes, as stated by officials.

Occupants of both vehicles were out of their vehicle and authorities arrived shortly to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by CHP.

Furthermore, it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. Additionally, authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
