Traffic collision caused major traffic hazard in carpool lane on Interstate 210 in Altadena
According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Sunday, April 1st 2018, at about 1:41 p.m., at least one person was injured ensuing a traffic collision in the carpool lane involving two vehicles on the eastbound Interstate 210 near North Hill Avenue in the city of Altadena.
In addition, the report stated that the two vehicles involved were a white Hyundai Elantra and a black Toyota Prius. It was unclear from the police report which party was responsible for the accident; however, it was mentioned that a Lyft vehicle was the responsible party.
The carpool lane as well as the left-most lane were blocked as authorities waited for towing services to clear the accident of the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by CHP.
There was at least one person injured as a result of the crash and paramedics arrived shortly after the incident occurred to transport the injured parties to a nearby medical facility. In addition, the identity of the injured person or persons has not been released yet, according to officials. It is also unknown whether or not there were passengers in the vehicles involved in the crash.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause of the incident.
