At least one person was injured in car crash on the corner of Carmenita Rd and Imperial Hwy in Whittier

As mentioned in a California Highway Patrol police report, at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic accident that took place on the intersection of Carmenita Road and Imperial Highway in the city of Whittier.

Furthermore, officials report that a black Toyota Camry and a white BMW, were the vehicles involved in the collision that resulted in injuries.  The accident left the BMW with major front-end and left side damage, according to CHP.

In addition, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a near by hospital by paramedics.  Authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
