Car accident hospitalized at least one person on the 80 Freeway west of Macdonald Ave in Richmond

As mentioned in a police report by California Highway Patrol, on Wednesday, March 28th 2018, at about 8:08 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a solo vehicle collision that took place on Interstate 80, just west of Macdonald Avenue in the city of Richmond.

Moreover, officials reported to a white Toyota was driving eastbound on I-80 when the driver lost control and spun out hitting the center divider.  The accident caused the Toyota to end up overturned on the right shoulder, according to CHP.

Additionally, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a near by hospital by paramedics.  Authorities have not yet released the name or age of the injured victim.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
