At least one person injured in vehicle collision on Highway 4 at Byron Hwy in Brentwood

As mentioned by California Highway Patrol in a police report, on Monday, March 5th 2018, at 12:06 p.m. at least one person was injured in a traffic accident involving a big rig on State Route 4 at Byron Highway in the city of Brentwood.

Furthermore, authorities reported that a big rig and a black Honda Accord were the vehicles involved in the collision that resulted in injuries.  Authorities did not say if both vehicles needed a tow but a tow truck was called to the scene, according to the report.

In addition, at least one person was injured and transported to a local hospital by paramedics, however authorities have no word on the severity of the injuries sustained by the victim.

Currently, this incident is undergoing review as officials work to determine the exact cause and liable party of the accident.  Further details will be available at a later time once authorities have concluded their investigation.
