Car accident left at least one person injured on the 5 Freeway near 43rd Ave in Sacramento

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Monday, March 5th 2018, at 6:17 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a vehicle collision that took place on Interstate 5 near 43rd Avenue in the city of Sacramento.

Furthermore, authorities did not have a full description of the vehicles but did report that three to four vehicles were involved in the accident that resulted in injuries.  The vehicles were blocking the first and second lane of the interstate, as mentioned in the report.

In addition, at least one person was injured and transported to a nearby hospital, however officials have no word on the condition of the injured party at this time.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.  Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
