At least one person hospitalized ensuing vehicle collision on the 50 Freeway east of Sunrise Blvd in Rancho Cordova
According to a police report by California Highway Patrol, on Thursday, March 29th 2018, at 3:34 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic collision that took place on Highway 50, just east of Sunshine Boulevard in the city of Rancho Cordova.
Furthermore, authorities mentioned that a red Ford Escort and a white Dodge Dakota were traveling eastbound on US-50 when the car accident occurred. The accident is believed to have started after a vehicle struck furniture that was in the roadway, as stated by CHP.
In addition, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a near by hospital by paramedics. Authorities have not yet released any additional information on the injured victim.
Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
