At least 1 person injured in car crash on Highway 4 west of State Route 242 in Concord

As mentioned in a California Highway Patrol police report, on Tuesday, April 24th 2018, at about 7:29 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic accident that took place on State Route 4, just west of Highway 242 in the city of Concord.

Furthermore, authorities stated that a two vehicles were involved in a collision that resulted in injuries on SR-4.  The vehicles involved in the accident were described by CHP as a blue older model and a black Nissan sedan.

In addition, it is unclear how many people were injured however at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics.  Authorities have not yet released any additional information on the injured party.

Currently, this incident is undergoing review by officials as they work to determine the exact cause and liable party of the collision.  Further details will be made available at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
