Car crash injured at least 1 person on the 880 north of 98th Ave in Oakland
According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Wednesday, April 18th 2018, at about 5:07 p.m. at least one person was injured as result of a vehicle collision that took place on Interstate 880, just north of 98th Avenue in the city of Oakland.
Furthermore, authorities stated that a Volkswagen Golf and a Nissan SUV were traveling southbound on I-880 when the accident occurred. The collision caused the vehicles to block the No. 1 lane of the interstate, as mentioned by CHP.
In addition, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. Authorities have not yet released any additional information on the injured party.
Currently, this incident is undergoing review by authorities as they work to determine the exact cause and liable party of the collision. Further details will be made available at later time once the investigation has concluded.
