Vehicle collision injured at least 1 person on the 101 Freeway at the Fair Oaks Ave off-ramp in Sunnyvale

As mentioned in a California Highway Patrol police report, on Sunday, April 1st 2018, at about 8:51 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic collision that took place on the 101 Highway, at the Fair Oaks Avenue off-ramp in the city of Sunnyvale.

Moreover, authorities reported that a van was driving southbound on US-101 when the collision occurred.  When officials arrived on scene they found the van overturned with smoke coming out of it, according to CHP.

Additionally, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics.  Authorities have not yet released any additional information on the injured party.

Currently, this incident is undergoing review by authorities as they work to determine the exact cause of the collision.  Further details will be made available at a later time once officials have concluded their investigation.
