At least 2 people were injured in vehicle collision on the 880 Freeway near 98th Ave in Oakland

As mentioned in a California Highway Patrol police report, on Thursday, March 1st 2018, at about 2:28 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a car accident on the 880 Freeway, just south of the 98th Avenue off-ramp.

Moreover, officials report that a black Dodge Durango, a silver Ford Focus, and a gold Toyota Tacoma were the vehicles involved in a collision that resulted in injuries.  The gold Toyota Tacoma received major front end damage and was inoperable, according to the police report.

In addition, at least two people were transported to a near by hospital, however authorities have no word on the condition of the injured parties.

Currently, this incident is undergoing review by authorities as they work to determine the exact cause and liable party of the collision, and further details will be available at a later time once the investigation has been concluded.
