Motorcyclist injured in car wreck on the 5 Freeway near Garden Highway in Sacramento

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Friday, February 16th 2018, at 6:12 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of car crash on Interstate 5 near the Garden Highway off-ramp in the city of Sacramento.

Furthermore, officials report that a motorcyclist was driving north on Interstate 5 before being struck by a white Volvo near the Garden Highway off-ramp.  When authorities arrived on scene the rider of the motorcycle was down on the Garden Highway off-ramp roadway.

In addition, the motorcyclist was transported to a near by hospital, however authorities have no word on the condition of the injured motorcyclist.

Currently, this accident is undergoing review by officials as they work to determine the exact cause and liable party of the accident. Further details will be released as at a later time once the investigation has been concluded.
