Vehicle collision left Todd Anthony Davis Jr dead on the Intersection of Orchard Dr and Irvine Ave in Newport Beach

As mentioned in a news article from the Orange County Register, on Sunday, February 18th 2018, at 10:11 a.m. a motorcyclist identified as 26-year-old Todd Anthony Davis, Jr. of Costa Mesa lost his life as a result of a vehicle collision on the intersection of Orchard Drive and Irvine Avenue in the city of Newport Beach.

Furthermore, authorities stated that Davis was riding an orange 2014 Yamaha FZ-09 north on Irvine Ave before he got hit by a woman making a left turn onto eastbound Orchard Dr from southbound Irvine Ave in a white 2015 Mazda CX-5 SUV.

In addition, the woman in the SUV did not receive any injuries, but Davis was ejected from the motorcycle and died about an hour later at a near by hospital, according to the article.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause of the collision, and further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
