Taxi cab driver loses life after fatal car wreck

As reported in an article from OnSceneVideo, the cab driver, who is yet to be identified, was killed after losing control of the cab crashing into a power pole off the I-405 in Westminster last Tuesday.

According to CHP officials, on January 2nd, at around 9:40 p.m. the car was moving at high speeds going northbound on the San Diego Freeway off the Bolsa Chica/Goldenwest off ramp when it lost control and collided into a power pole.

The driver was pronounced dead on the scene by authorities who arrived at the scene first.  Fortunately, the conductor was traveling alone. The power pole was broken into half when the taxi struck the pole as cited in the report.

The off ramp remains closed until further notice. The investigation is still ongoing and more information will be released soon.
