Woman Passenger dies in suspected DUI car crash
According to a news report from CBS8, on Tuesday, March 27th 2018, at about 2:00 a.m., a woman passenger was killed and at least one person was injured ensuing a single-vehicle accident on the westbound of State Route 78 near Barham Drive in the city of San Marcos.
In addition, the report stated that a white sedan flipped on the off-ramp of Barham Drive. As a result, the woman in the front passenger seat was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.
Moreover, the man driving the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, as stated by officials.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, according to Caltrans San Diego and the CHP.
Furthermore, the driver of the white sedan was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics with injuries of unknown severity. Moreover, authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.
