Semi-truck overturned and crashed

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Thursday, April 19th 2018, at about 10:58 p.m., one person was killed ensuing a single-vehicle accident involving a semi-truck on the westbound of State Route 60 and Interstate 605 in the city of Whittier.

In addition, authorities stated that a semi-truck was speeding and caused it to overturn and crash. 

The transition road from the westbound 60 Freeway to the 605 Freeway was shut down as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicle involved in the accident, as stated by CHP.

Furthermore, the driver of the big rig were pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities. Additionally, authorities have not yet released the identity of the driver.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
