Jeremy and Kim Runyen’s infant reportedly escaped injuries after hit-and-run car accident

According to an article from ABC 10 News, there was a hit-and-run driver who fled the scene after a car collision on Quail Canyon Road on Saturday night in El Cajon.

Per the article, the accident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night on Quail Canyon Road.

The accident occurred when a mysterious white truck was spotted “flying down the road” according to the mother of a 9-month-old infant.

Jeremy and Kim Runyen were getting ready to go home from a pool party at a friend’s home, according to the article.  The 9-month-old baby, Cody, was sleeping in the back of a truck.

While backing up the truck in the driveway of the home, the white truck came into the path of the vehicle, and the impact occurred, said the article.

According to witnesses, the truck nearly hit another family getting into their car near the scene of the collision.

As a result, Jeremy sustained injuries to his neck and arm, as well as a concussion.  Kim was also injured after the collision, also it was not clear from the report her condition.

From immediate evidence, it seems that Cody escaped the collision without any injuries, according to the report.

Furthermore, the article reported that neighbors in the area have been complaining about a familiar white truck driving recklessly throughout the neighborhood on a daily basis.

As the article indicates, the truck that left the scene is believed to be an older model, white Ford F-150.

The Runyen family as well as the authorities are currently looking for the hit-and-run driver who veered into their parked vehicle, nearly injuring and causing harm to the baby boy in the backseat.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.

Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
