Pedestrian struck and killed by Audi in Fullerton

A man believed to be in his 30’s was killed while crossing the 100 block of West Orangethorpe Avenue in Fullerton on Saturday night by another motorist, according to a local news article from MyNewsLa.

Per the news article, the accident occurred just after 9:00 p.m. on Saturday when authorities responded to the scene where they discovered a pedestrian laying on the ground and a 27-year-old driver who remained at the scene.

What occurred was that the pedestrian was struck while crossing northbound on Orangethorpe Avenue by a black 2017 Audi S3, said officials.

Additionally, paramedics reportedly transported the injured pedestrian to a local area hospital where the victim later died from his injuries, the article reported.

According to the police, neither drugs nor alcohol was believed to be a causing factor in the accident.

The identity of the deceased man was withheld from the article, pending the notification of next-of-kin, although he was described as a man in his 30’s.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
