Pedestrian hospitalized after being struck by motorist in Pomona

According to the Daily Bulletin, a pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a car in an accident on Garey Avenue and Mission Boulevard in Pomona on Saturday night.

As mentioned, the accident occurred on Saturday just before 7:00 p.m. when police officers responded to a car accident on Garey Avenue, between Mission Boulevard and 7th Street.

Officers located a male adult pedestrian in critical condition, according to the article, and the driver of the vehicle, who remained at the scene.  The name of the victim was not released in the article, pending the notification of next-of-kin.

Additionally, a photo from the scene indicated that the pedestrian struck the windshield of the vehicle, although the vehicle was not described in detail within the article.

Furthermore, L.A. County Fire responded to the incident as well and transported the victim to a local hospital in critical condition after the pedestrian was stabilized.
