Pedestrian hospitalized at Memorial Hospital after car accident

According to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian sustained major injuries after a car accident that took place on Monday night in Modesto.

The traffic collision took place at about 11:56 p.m. on Monday, August 21st, sources said, when the vehicle was traveling at the intersection of Crows Landing Road and Butte Avenue.

Simultaneously, the pedestrian was also crossing the street in the same intersection.

After authorities arrived at the scene, paramedics transported the injured victim to Memorial Hospital by an American Medical Response ambulance.  The report made it clear that the victim suffered major head injuries and was in life-threatening condition.

Currently, the crash remains to be investigated and as authorities work to collect evidence to deem the responsible party, further information will be reported as it is released.
