At least one person injured in car crash on 880 Freeway in San Jose

According to a California Highway Patrol report, on Tuesday morning, February 27th, 2018, paramedics responded to a car accident between three vehicles on the Stevens Creek Boulevard Offramp of the Interstate 880 Freeway which injured at least one person.

The accident occurred at about 10:38 a.m. when authorities received a report of a traffic accident with injuries in the No. 3 lane of the freeway, said officials.

Authorities reported that the accident involved three vehicles: a blue Honda, a black SUV, and a black Mazda vehicle.  According to the source, one vehicle did not have brake lights, which may have led to the collision.  Moreover, it was stated that paramedics were asked for by the reporting party.  Emergency respondents arrived and transported at least one injured party to a nearby hospital to treat their injuries.

It was unclear from the report which vehicle started the three-vehicle accident.  Additionally, the names of the victims were withheld from the report, pending notification of family.
