Mutli-vehicle traffic accident left one person dead on the intersection of Rancho Vista Blvd and 25th St W in Palmdale

According to a local article from the Los Angeles Times, on Friday, February 23rd 2018, at about 10:30 p.m. one person was killed as a result of a car collision involving several vehicles on the intersection of 25th Street West and Rancho Vista Boulevard in the city of Palmdale.

Furthermore, officials report that a 35-year-old man was driving westbound on Rancho Vista Blvd in a Chevy Cruze before rear-ending a stopped BMW at a red light and then pushing the BMW into a Buick Enclave.  The BMW involved in the collision caught fire and the driver of the Enclave rescued the driver from the burning vehicle but a passenger of the BMW died trapped inside the vehicle, as reported by Los Angeles Times.

In addition the driver of the of the BMW did suffer several burn injuries and was transported to a near by hospital, however authorities have no word on the injured drivers condition.

Currently, this incident is undergoing review by officials as they work to determine the exact cause of the incident although it is believed that the speed in which the 35-year-old was driving might be a factor, according to officials.
