Traffic accident on the 101 Freeway near Hearn Ave in Santa Rosa sends Motorcyclist to hospital

As cited on a California Highway Patrol police report, on January 31, at 4:42 p.m. a traffic collision between a motorcyclist and two other vehicles on the 101 Freeway near the Hearn ave off-ramp in Santa Rosa left at least one person injured.

Furthermore, a white Chevy Traverse, a black Lexus GS along with a motorcycle were the vehicles involved in the traffic accident reported on the Redwood Highway near the Hearn Ave off-ramp in the city of Santa Rosa.  It appeared as if the motorcyclist rear ended the white Chevy Traverse, although the cause of the accident is not yet clear.

When authorities arrived on scene the rider of the motorcycle was down on the roadway and appeared to be injured, said officials.  An ambulance was called to transport the injured party to a local hospital.  The condition of the injured party is unknown at the moment but further information will be available once the investigation has concluded.
