1 person died and 2 more were hospitalized following a car crash near Piru Canyon Road

As reported by a local article from VCStar, one person was killed and 2 others were sent to local hospitals after a car collision on the Telegraph Road Highway 126.  The car wreck was between a pick up truck and sedan near Piru, California according to the article.

Ventura County Fire Department spokesman, Capt. Stan Ziegler, stated that the accident was reported at 4:30 p.m. on Telegraph Road.  One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene.  At least two of the victims involved in the accident need to be freed by firefighters.  One of the victims injured was flown to a Ventura County trauma hospital and the other was send to a Los Angeles trauma hospital via ambulance as mentioned by officials.

Authorities have not given any word on the identities of the people involved in the traffic accident.  Parts of Highway 126 remained closed for at least an hour while officials investigate and clean up. Further information will be release at a later time when the investigation has come to an end.
