One woman killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 160

According to sacramento.cbslocal.com, a multi-car crash occurred on Highway 160 in Rio Vista Wednesday evening, killing one and injuring five others.

As mentioned in the article, a woman 83-year-old woman from Paradise was driving on Highway 160 when she crossed into oncoming traffic at approximately 5:00 p.m.

The woman first crashed into a SUV and caused a chain-reaction of car collision.  Several drivers lost control of their car, resulting in the cars spinning out of control, sources said.

The woman was airlifted to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.  Additionally, five others were injured in the accident and were transported to a nearby hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
