One injured in construction zone in Irvine

The authorities arrived to find a construction worker that had been impaled with a metal rod in his head, according to the article.
The Orange County Fire Authority worked to cut the metal rod and transported the victim to a nearby hospital in a serious condition, sources said.
Furthermore, authorities report a worker was carrying a metal rod when he lost control of it and dropped it under a worker below.
