One pedestrian injured in a car collision on Ventura Boulevard

According to onscene.tv, one victim was injured on Wednesday afternoon when a car crashed into a pedestrian on Ventura Boulevard, south of Highway 101.

Authorities report, at approximately 3:50 p.m Wednesday, the Ventura Fire Department and Ventura Police department responded to a report of a car crash on the 800 block of Ventura Boulevard.

Officials report that a pedestrian was using the designated crosswalk at 800 block of Ventura Boulevard when a vehicle traveling west bound on the Ventura Boulevard.

As mentioned in the article, the pedestrian’s condition is unknown but was transported to a nearby hospital.

Authorities have not ruled out speeding or DUI as a factor in the collision, sources said.

This investigation is being handled by the Ventura Police Department and further details will be updated as they are available.
