One victim hospitalized after a stolen car crashes in Paso Robles

According to the ksby.com, one victim was injured in a car crash Tuesday evening at Spring street and 16th street in Paso Robles.

California Highway Patrol said the crash was the result of a theft of a vehicle in the Mid-State Fair parking main lot Tuesday around 5 :00 p.m.

A fair worker reported that a man asked if it was okay for him to drive his car and come back into the lot with the same car if they still had their ticket stub, according to the article.

Reportedly, The thief soon left the scene with a car the fair workers assumed was his. The stolen vehicle continued to 16th street and Spring street where it crashed into a Ford Explorer.

The collision came to a halt when the crashed SUV came to a stop in the middle of the intersection at 16th street and Spring street.

One occupant in the Explorer, man, was injured and taken to Twin Cities Community Hospital, the source said.

The thief was found uninjured in a nearby Bank of America parking lot.

Authorities determined the thief who was driving the stolen vehicle was the same person who stole the vehicle from the Mid-State Fair parking lot.

The name of the victim was not mentioned in the article, pending the notification of next-of-kin.
