Pedestrian injured after car crash on Union Avenue near 18th Street in Bakersfield

According to local news sources, on Monday April 2nd, 2018, around 8:00 am, a car collision occurred on Union Avenue near 18th Street in Bakersfield injuring one man.

Police mentioned that the man was walking on Union Avenue where there was no designation for a crosswalk when the incident occurred.

Emergency respondents arrived on the scene and transported the pedestrian to a local hospital for treatment of his major injuries. Moreover, he was in critical condition, stated the authorities.

Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by authorities.
