One injured after a car crashes into 7-Eleven in Irvine

According to onscene.tv, a car crashed into a 7-Eleven on Thursday evening in a plaza located at the intersection of Culver Drive and Irvine Center Drive in Irvine.

As mentioned in the article, Orange County Fire Authority responded to a report on Thursday at around 9:45 p.m. about a vehicle crash in the 15200 block of Culver Drive.

When authorities arrived, they found a vehicle that struck the front door of a 7-Eleven convenience store.  Officials reported that the driver was injured and treated for minor damages from the airbag deployment.

Additionally, officials state the 7-Eleven was scheduled for a grand opening on Friday. It is unknown if the store will go through the grand opening as they had planned officials state.

The name of the driver at fault was not mentioned in the article.

It is unclear if alcohol, drugs or speeding were involved in the factor of the collision but the authorities have not ruled them out.
