Two children dead after solo car crash on Highway 14

According to Signalscv.com, on Thursday morning around 6:20 a.m., a solo car collision occurred, resulting in two dead and three injured on the northbound State Route 14 south of Ward Street.

One July 20th, around 6:20 a.m., black Chevrolet Trailblazer veered to the right, colliding with the dirt embankment, causing it to overturn, as stated by the California Highway Patrol Officer Josh Greengard.

One of the four passengers who was a one-year-old was ejected out of seat and died, said the article.

The driver, identified as Karen Adams, 37, of Los Angeles, suffered major injuries.

One fourteen-year-old and two eight-year-old boys were also seriously injured. One of the eight-year-old child succumbed to the injuries Thursday afternoon, as state by officer Greengard.

The woman, the infant girl and the teen boy were taken to Antelope Valley Hospital. The two eight-year-old boys were taken to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Shortly before 7:30 a.m. the carpool lane and the lane next to it were opened.

Alcohol and drugs are being investigated in this collision, according to officials.
