Multi-Vehicle Traffic Collision on WB U.S. Route 101 near Woodlake Ave. in Woodland Hills

Vehicle crash involving 4-5 vehicles on the westbound 101 Freeway just east of Woodlake Ave. in Woodland Hills

According to the police report from the California Highway Patrol, multiple vehicles were involved in a traffic collision which occurred in the middle lanes on Sunday April 1st, 2018 at 2:26 pm on the US-101 Freeway just east of Woodlake Ave. in Woodland Hills.

The CHP police report stated that the vehicles involved pulled to the roadside as Los Angeles Fire Department was notified of the incident. A black Porsche was identified as one of the vehicles involved in the accident among other vehicles, including a black Chevrolet.

Authorities reported that the fourth lane of traffic was closed off.

It was reported that a Hispanic male adult wearing dark clothes and jeans was seen fleeing from the scene of the traffic collision across the freeway onto the eastbound side of the freeway. A driver of a Dodge Charger, identified as a Hispanic male adult possibly in his 40s, was also reported to have been driving recklessly on the freeway prior to the traffic collision. It is unclear whether the two incidents are related.

In addition, it is unclear from the CHP report if there were any injuries; however, an ambulance was called onto the scene. Authorities have not yet released any information on if there were any injured parties at this time.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
