Multi-vehicle car accident causes injury on southbound I-5 near Roxford St.
According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Friday, April 13th 2018, at about 7:12 a.m., at least one person was injured ensuing a traffic collision involving several vehicles on the southbound of I-5 Freeway just north of Roxford St. in the city of Sylmar.
Moreover, the report stated that five vehicles were involved in accident, though the make and models were not disclosed, as stated by authorities. In addition, authorities also stated that the vehicles were blocking lanes of the freeway, though it was unknown which ones just yet.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by CHP.
Furthermore, it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. Moreover, authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
