At least one person injured in vehicle pile up on Highway 101 north of Montague Expy in Santa Clara
As mentioned in a California Highway Patrol police report, on Monday, April 16th 2018, at about 6:17 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic accident that involved several vehicles took place on the 101 Freeway, just north of Montague Expressway in the city of Santa Clara.
Furthermore, authorities did not give a full description of all the vehicles but did mention that a white Ford F-150 a silver Subaru Outback and another 2 vehicles were traveling northbound on CA-101 when the collision occurred. The accident caused the vehicles to block the N0. 2 lane of the highway, according to CHP.
In addition, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. Authorities have not yet released any additional information on the injured party.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash. Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
