At least one person injured in car accident on the 880 Freeway near Alvarado Niles Rd in Union City

According to a police report by California Highway Patrol, on Thursday, March 8th 2018, at least one person was injured ensuing a traffic accident that involved several vehicles on Interstate 880 at the Alvarado Niles Road off-ramp in Union City.

Furthermore, officials did not get a full description of all the vehicles involved but did mention that a black Nissan Altima’s air bags were deployed as a result of the collision.  The vehicles were reported to be blocking the No. 4 lane of Interstate 880, as stated by CHP.

In addition, at least one person was transported to a near by hospital by paramedics, however officials have no word on the severity of the injuries sustained by the victim.  Authorities have not yet released the age or name of the injured party.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
